At some pointsooner than lateryou're going to need to start making your own choices as an entrepreneur. Here's how to make the best ones: 1. Do as much reading as you can, and take a break and then stop the reading.I've spoken to many entrepreneurs who are able to use books as a way to get their work done. They are always on the search for books they can devour. I like reading self-help guides as well, but there's too much information available. It can become overwhelming. Don't overdo it. Learn by doing. 2. Try to find new perspectives. Talking to the same people, especially people who care about us or are friends and have narrower perspectives. If you're interested in learning from others, deliberately seek out those with a different perspective. It's not difficult and boring to listen to others who have the same viewpoint. But you'll make better decisions when you are forced to consider new perspectives of the same issue. Your thinking should not be based on a binary decision.
3. Be flexible. The only way to ensure that you are making sound decisions as an entrepreneur is to remain open-minded and easygoing. It's a fact that something isn't going to go according to plan. Entrepreneurship requires the willingness to risk and plan are able to alter. You may find yourself stuck with a plan which didn't work, or you rely on the notion that it will and fail to explore a new exciting, interesting, and maybe better choice to run your business. It is essential to have a plan of action. However, a game strategy may be more of the shape of a zigzag, rather than straight lines. 4. Have your choices. Yours is yours alone. Do not take responsibility for anything that goes wrong. If you're unwilling to take responsibility what can you learn from it? Being an entrepreneur is one of the aspects of what I love about it. I'm able to make my own decisions. It's mine to make, both good and bad. This reality can be frightening as well as satisfying if you're like me.
